Can I bring my class or group to visit the library?
Answer
The CSM Library's study spaces and public access computers are for use by all CSM students and the San Mateo community.
The Library provides several options for organized groups wanting to visit the library:
- If you're a CSM instructor and want to bring your class to the library for library instruction please complete our request for instruction form. The Library classrooms are reserved for CSM librarian-led information literacy instruction only and cannot be used as computer labs.
- If you are a SMCCD- or CSM-affiliated organization, and would like a tour of the library spaces, please complete this form: https://collegeofsanmateo.libanswers.com/form?queue_id=5461
- If you are a CSM student club or group that would like to use the CSM Library Makerspace for an event please use this form: https://collegeofsanmateo.libanswers.com/form?queue_id=5461
- If you are another group looking for a library tour, please complete this form: https://collegeofsanmateo.libanswers.com/form?queue_id=5461
In an effort to maintain a freely usable space for all CSM students and the community, and provide equitable and welcoming access to Library information, services, and spaces, larger organized groups wishing to visit the library must make prior arrangements.
The above does not apply to groups of CSM students independently studying, meeting, or working on group projects.
Library public access computers are for public use not able to be reserved.
